Roads were left flooded after heavy rains battered southern Thailand.

Three days of heavy downpour inundated several parts of Yala province especially those near the Saiburi river that overflowed on February 26.

Footage shows muddy deluge submerging roads and shops, leaving it looking like a ghost town. The Southern Meteorological Centre said heavy volumes of rainwater poured from February 24 to 27 in provinces close to the border with Malaysia.

Locals have been warned about flash floods, especially those who dwell near the river in low-lying areas. No casualties were reported while damage to property was yet to be estimated.
