Man charges less than 1 penny for ride in DIY ambulance bike in northern India
A man in Purnia, Bihar, is charging less than $0.01 for a ride on his bike that he converted into an ambulance.
Newed Akthar spent nearly two months working on the model and has helped 32 people to and from hospital so far.
Footage from February 15 shows the interior of the bike-cum-ambulance that has enough room for one patient. The device is fitted with an oxygen tank too.
It cost Akthar $1,127 USD to build the device and he charges a minimum of $0.013 per trip.
