Vietnamese doctor removes pearl stuck in woman's ear canal
Video captured the moment a doctor removed a pearl stuck in a woman's ear canal in Quang Ninh, Vietnam, on 28 February.
According to the doctor, the woman came to his clinic and said that a pearl in her earring had fallen into the ear canal.
She said that while removing the earrings, she accidentally caused the pearl to fall into her ear. She tried to get the pearl out but it fell deeper and deeper into the ear canal, causing her pain.
The doctor used an endoscope and found a pearl stuck in the middle of the woman's ear canal.
The doctor carefully used forceps to remove the pearl to avoid damaging the woman's ear canal.
He said he was surprised when he saw the pearl in the woman's ear as it is a rare situation.
The woman said she would no longer wear pearls in her ears.
The video was filmed with the patient's permission.
