Hundreds of ducks march on road like a military parade
Hundreds of ducks were seen marching on a road like they were having a military parade.
The flock of brown water birds were on their way back to a poultry farm after feeding on snails at a nearby paddy field in Tarlac City, the Philippines on February 20.
Due to their number, the birds held traffic causing motorists to wait on one side of the lane to avoid scaring the animals away.
Onlooker Jayson Laurzano said: 'I was on my way to work when we came across the birds. There were so many that we had to stop or the ducks could run in different directions when scared. It looked like they were marching on a military parade.'
The flock were reportedly gone after 15 minutes before traffic returned to normal.
In tropical agricultural countries, it is a common practice to let flocks of ducks feed on snails and other pests on paddy fields as it helps farmers and provides free and healthy food for the birds.
