An overloaded pickup truck was spotted carrying a huge tree in Thailand.

Video shows the tree's sprawling branches almost occupying an entire lane while it was being transported by a vehicle driving along Mittraphap Road in Nakhon Ratchasima province on February 22.

The tree was seen almost grazing the side of a lorry speeding by. The potentially hazardous cargo was not covered in tarpaulin and appeared to extend a considerable length behind the pickup truck.

There were also no visible markings warning other motorists how far the branches stuck out.

A road user who recorded the incident said: 'I was in disbelief seeing how close the tree came to damaging other vehicles. I wonder how this truck managed to get past highway police.'
