Residents delivered food to people affected by floods that hit Malaysia over the weekend.

Aslina Ngah and other volunteers visited storm-battered Ajil town in Malaysia’s Terengganu state to give out basic goods to devastated locals on March 1. The downpour had left roads muddied, and flattened the surrounding trees in the area.

Aslina said: ‘We distributed donations for flood victims, but we will continue since there are still many basic items that they need.’

Malaysia and parts of southern Thailand close to the border suffered heavy rain and floods last week. In Malaysia, more than 12,000 residents were displaced as continuous rain swamped towns on the peninsula’s east coast.
