Australian surfer washed off rocks by a big wave as he tries to enter the rough stormy ocean with big waves

Australian surfer at Terrigal Beach Australia is trying to enter the ocean so that he can go surfing when he is washed off the rocks by a big wave. For a few seconds he disappears out of sight under the white wash but thankfully emerges relatively unscathed. He suffers a cut to his leg which is bleeding and a few aches and pains over his body.
The East Coast of Australia has been experiencing heavy rain for the past 3 weeks which has led to extensive flooding and rough surf conditions. Normally the ocean off Terrigal is pristine, but at the moment it looks quite polluted due to the large amount of off coloured foam.
The surfers friend rushed over to him to check whether he was alright. They examined his cuts and bruises and then tried to get into the ocean from another location without success.
