More than 1,000 residents of Kherson, a city in the south of Ukraine, have taken to the streets to oppose the Russian invasion.

The clip, which was filmed today (March 5) in Kherson, shows people peacefully demonstrating, singing the National Anthem, and shouting "Kherson is Ukraine", "Go home", "Fascists", and "Putin - ****head". They also wave Ukrainian flags.

Kherson is the first major city in Ukraine to have fallen under Russian hands.

The person who caught these scenes on camera said: "People gathered to show that Kherson was and still is a Ukrainian city".

Russian forces were present at the scene, on both sides of the building shown on the clip. The Russian soldiers were watching and monitoring the rally.

The filmer has claimed that Russian forces were shooting in the air when there were fewer people protesting.
