A 25-year-old cricketer suffered a heart attack while waiting at the reception of a private hospital in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Betul on February 21.

Visuals feature the man sitting at the reception, awaiting his turn to be checked. Within moments, he gets uncomfortable, following which he drops to the ground, ensuing panic among the onlookers. The medical staff immediately swings into action and begins treating the patient, who lies on the floor, unconscious.

The patient's breathing stopped 40 times in 1.5 hours post the heart attack. However, the doctor's prompt response saved his life.

He gave the youth cardiac massage for the first 20 minutes, following which he was given an injection and electric shocks.

Moreover, after regaining consciousness, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The cricketer, a resident of Amla, was rushed to the hospital at night by his family after he suffered unbearable chest pain and was about to be treated when the incident unfolded.
