An elephant herd, out for a stroll in the rains, made its way across the forest cover in Sri Lanka's Eastern Province on March 3.

The incident took place in Kalmunai city, located in the Ampara district.

Visuals feature two elephants slowly walking on a pathway surrounded by greenery on either side. Within moments, one of the jumbos stops to rub itself against a tree. Later, other elephants join in, and the herd strolls past the forest cover while it rains in the region.

The elephants often appear in fields during the night as they are afraid of humans. They stray from their habitat in search of food, making locals familiar with such incidents.
