The film is about Brandaris Race - historical sailing vessels regatta in Frisia - Netherland. The film was shooted during latest race in October 2014.
Brandaris Race is the biggest sailing regatta of large historical ships - klippers, tjalks, leemsteraks... The film captures visually interesting and dramatic spectacle when several dozens of beautiful sailboats competes each other. Ships sail in a narrow fairway very close to each other, all at full sail. It is a real nautical adventure.
There is also a couple of captains and organizers speaking in the movie. The film pays a tribute to the beauty of historical ships and the people around them.
Thanks to the weather and strong wind that year we had opportunity to shoot the very fastest Brandaris Race ever including dramatic sail-back to homeport.
