A group of female protesters gathered in Cape Town, South Africa, to highlight climate issues on International Women's Day.

Footage from March 8 shows the female demonstrators calling on the government to change their response to climate change.

One woman was seen holding a sign reading "there can be no change without women."

A group of female environmental and conservation activists gathered outside South Africa’s parliament to highlight conservation issues that needs to be addressed in order to save the planet. They are calling on government to change their response to climate change and view its as an emergency.

The group also included women from rural areas who want government to train and educate women in rural areas in issues pertaining to the environment and other conservation issues. They held up placards, shouted slogans and sang various struggle songs.
