When Emily Corbett Abney, 24, married her husband David, 28, on October 10, 2021, she knew she wanted her beloved grandparents involved in the special day.

She struck upon the idea of her grandmother Barbara Johnson, 79, walking down the aisle as her flower girl and her granddad Larry Johnson, 78, following as the ring bearer.

And she can cherish the the lovely moment forever, as it was captured on video by a wedding guest.

The gorgeous clip shows retired biscuit maker Barbara dressed in a gold gown as she delicately tosses petals from a basket down the wedding aisle.

Substitute teacher Emily, who lives in Cullman, said: "I was so excited to see them walk down the aisle and it made me so happy that they got to be part of our wedding in such a special way.

"My granddad has had some health issues and even had a surgery just a couple days before the wedding but was determined to be there no matter what.

"It was my idea and my husband loved the idea, too."
