Truck driver suffers heart attack while driving moments before crashing onto another truck at junction
A truck driver suffered a heart attack while driving - moments before his vehicle crashed into another truck at a junction.
Noppoen Siprai, 52, said his chest felt tight while driving a massive 18-wheeler truck in Chon Buri province, Thailand on March 4.
In dashcam footage taken inside his truck, he could be seen bowing his head onto the steering wheel and then looking up before his vehicle slammed a six-wheeler from behind.
Both trucks drifted forward and crashed onto another truck in front. All three drivers were injured and rushed to the hospital by responding medics.
Police Major General Chatkanin Insorn said: ‘We will be collecting other CCTV footage at the scene as evidence aside from the dashcam. The three drivers will be questioned and prosecuted if proven to be at fault.'
The 18-wheeler truck driver Noppoen was taken to Panthong Hospital together with the other two identified as Buasorn Wongsapha, 30, and Thawatchai Wongsilpachai, 40.
All three drivers were now in stable condition and would be questioned after being discharged from the hospital. No one else was reported hurt aside from them.
