Farmers raced each other on modified carts made from tractor engines after harvest.
More than 100 participants racing in pairs battled with their DIY carts on dry fields in the Bang Phli Noi area of Samut Prakan province, Thailand on March 6.
They used modified carts that were specially designed for the race. After the harvest, farmers dried up the soil to prepare the fields for the upcoming plantation. The race happens while the soil is being dried.
Just like any car race, the farmer’s modified cart race also had a team of technicians standing by at every booth, and drivers were also required to wear a helmet for safety.
