Clever shop owner uses ladder to rescue man who fell into river in China
A clever shop owner used a ladder to rescue a man who fell into a river in eastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Rui’an in Zhejiang Province on February 11 shows a man attempting to climb up onto a shore from a river while a woman spotted the scene shouting for help.
A shop owner named Zhou Shengwang came out of his shop and saw the incident. He then carried a ladder to run to the shore.
Zhou placed the ladder down into the river to let the man climb up along it by himself.
According to Zhou, it was raining on that day and the man tried to climb up the slippery wall onto the shore but failed.
Since Zhou cannot swim, he used a ladder that he carried from his shop to rescue the man.
Zhou's wife recorded the clip and said she felt very proud of Zhou.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
