A large snake was caught hiding inside a pickup truck's engine in Thailand.

The reptile was discovered when a guard dog profusely barked on the vehicle after it was parked outside a house in Surat Thani province, Thailand on March 2.

Curious house owner Chakkarin Wanpen walked over to the car and found the large snake moving inside the car engine. Worried about his dog's safety Chakkarin called the local rescue team for help.

As the snake was too long, the team took almost two hours before finally extracting the snake out from the engine.

Chakkarin said: 'I saw two huge snakes at the plantation and thought it looked beautiful. I didn't know I'd be seeing the same snake hiding in my car at home.'

Three men had to work together to pull the snake from the vehicle. The snake refused to leave its hiding spot but was eventually freed.

The snake was taken by the animal rescuers with them to release into the wild. No one was reported hurt in the incident.
