This is the scary moment a wild monitor lizard video bombed five women while they were making a YouTube video.

Footage shows the mums travel tips at a beauty spot when the reptile emerged from the mountain stream in Kanchanaburi province, Thailand on March 9.

The beast slowly crept into shot before it nudged one of the women on her foot - sending her leaping from her seat in a fit of screams. The other women then saw the lizard and also ran away.

Toktak Chantramas, who recorded the video, said: 'The lizard showed up at the right time. It was so big and scary.'

The monitor lizard then left the area but the women set up their shoot in a nearby spot on dry land in case the reptile returned to join them again.

In Thailand, all monitor lizards are listed as protected species and are often found in rivers and canals even in urban capital Bangkok.
