Footage shot on Saturday 12 March showed the destruction left behind when a shopping centre in Kharkiv was shelled by the Russian military.

The shopping and entertainment centre was shelled on 8 March but this exclusive video is among the first footage of the destruction. It is not clear if there were people inside it when it was shelled.

The Nikolsky mall in the centre of Kharkiv is next to the Maidan Constitution metro station.

Video shot on Friday 11 March (from 3:19 in this clip) shows local police in the western outskirts of Kharkiv, documenting unexploded ordinance believed to have been fired by Russian forces.

The officers, wearing blue body armour, photograph some kind of bomb, that hit a tree on its way down.

A local man said this deflected it away from a group of people gathered to pick up humanitarian aid. It may also have stopped it exploding.

Mikola, the eyewitness, said: "The bomb hit a tree and lost speed, and therefore did not hit the crowd of people."
