Activist Patsy Stevenson who was arrested at the Clapham Common vigil for Sarah Everard speaks to the crowd gathered during a Sister's Uncut protest outside Charing Cross Police Station. She says one year on, that despite assurances from the Met Police to address male violence against women, nothing has changed (March 12).

Patsy was arrested in Clapham Common bandstand when she attended the vigil banned under Coronavirus legislation at the time. The vigil organisers, Reclaim These Streets, who did not attend the vigil, challenged the decision by police in the High Court last week. The judge ruled that the police breached their rights, marking a victory for campaigners.

Serving police officer Wayne Couzens was convicted and jailed for the murder of Sarah Everard after she went missing in Clapham.
Mass public outrage of the Met Police prompted Commissioner Cressida Dick to take action on the abuse of policing powers and protecting women from male violence.
