Anti-police protesters set off "1000 rape alarms" outside Charing Cross police station in central London on Saturday evening (March 12).

The action was organised by feminist group Sisters Uncut to mark the 1-year anniversary since the Clapham Common vigil for Sarah Everard, where the Met Police was widely criticised for how it policed the event.

Sisters Uncut said they had "set off 1000 rape alarms at ... the centre of the Met's misogyny controversy". Hundreds of the rape alarms were thrown directly at the police station, as activists cheered and chanted "f*** the police".

Among those demonstrating was Patsy Stevenson, who was arrested at the vigil in Clapham last year.
