Hundreds of anti-police protesters marched from New Scotland Yard to Charing Cross Police Station in London on Saturday (March 12).

The rally was held to mark 1 year since the Sarah Everard vigil at Clapham Common, the anniversary of which is March 13. The Metropolitan Police were widely criticised for how they handled the vigil, breaking it up and arresting multiple attendees.

Demonstrators lit smoke flares and marched through the streets of London, chanting "ACAB - all cops are b*****ds" and "no justice, no peace".

Patsy Stevenson, who was arrested at the vigil in Clapham last year, was at the rally. Speaking to attendees, she said "keep fighting and kill the bill", a reference to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill which is currently being debated in the UK parliament. The Bill would give police more powers, particularly regarding protests.
