Workmen install road traffic warning sign so it's hidden behind telephone pole in Kent, UK

Workmen have recently installed a road traffic warning sign directly behind a telephone pole at Halfway, Sheerness, Kent, UK, which means it's almost impossible for drivers to see it, as shown in this footage filmed March 13.

The red triangular junction warning sign - which is intended to warn drivers to be aware of cars emerging from a nearby junction on the right - cannot be clearly seen by drivers travelling along the road, because it's almost completely obscured by the wooden pole in front of it.

The whole sign can only be seen from an obscure angle from the pavement when standing right in front of the sign.

The sign also fails to warn of a junction on the left, which is almost directly opposite the junction the sign is trying to highlight on the right.
