A family from Vietnam hid in their home recently when four escaped ostriches wandered into their garden.

Footage captured on February 3 in Thái Bình showed the family members peering out of the door at the colossal birds that had escaped from a truck a short time earlier.

They said they were eating dinner when the African creatures suddenly appeared outside their home.

The owner of the ostriches tracked down his lost livestock and managed to push the stubborn birds out of the property.

He said the door of his vehicle broke allowing the ostriches to flee.

According to the driver, he was transporting four ostriches on the road when suddenly the door of the truck broke and opened and the four ostriches jumped onto the road. The ostriches ran into a nearby house and scared everyone in the family. They closed the door and stayed in the house. The ostriches moved in the yard and people tried to hold them back. The owner of the ostrich quickly appeared and took the ostriches out of the house by the back gate.
Family members said they were in the house eating dinner when they suddenly saw large animals entering the yard. The man quickly closed the door to protect the children. After a while, he determined it was ostriches. They are huge and twice as tall as a man. The ostriches roamed the yard and they did not harm anyone or destroy the house.
Luckily the ostriches did not attack the people.
