A fourth picket took place outside South Africa’s parliament, against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, on Tuesday 15 March.

The picket took place while a parliamentary debate about South Africa's stance on the war was taking place.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has stated the country will not take sides and has offered to mediate in the crisis.

A protestor who identified herself only as Petra says she is anti-war and came to picket because she knows people in the Ukraine.

Petra believes South Africa is on the sides of the Russians because of South Africa's historic ties with Russia during the struggle against apartheid.
