Eel swims down flooded street in New Zealand
A video has emerged of an eel swimming down a flooded street in New Zealand.
In the footage, captured on Matarawa Street in Wanganui earlier this month, a group of local residents can be seen trying to catch the large eel in a bucket.
“In the June 2015 Flood the biggest flood on record in Wanganui, taking out hundreds of homes & businesses. We eventually got the Eel into a bigger bucket by picking it up with our hands and returned it to the stream,” the filmer later wrote online.
