This is the cute moment a mother elephant helped her baby climb a slippery bank in Kruger National Park in South Africa on March 15.

"The mother elephant gently helped her baby up the slippery wall using her trunk to support her baby from behind," said the filmer.

"The baby elephant finally managed to get out with the gentle help of its caring mother," they added.

It was during a scorching hot afternoon safari in the Kruger National Park that we decided to check out some of the local watering holes in search of wildlife. It was not long before we came across a herd of elephants at the first watering hole. Not many elephants were around the fresh water for a drink with most herd members gathered in a nearby mud wallow. These elephants definitely preferred using the mud to cool themselves down during the extreme afternoon heat. Among the herd in the wallow, we spotted two baby elephants having the time of their lives. The two adorable baby elephants were splashing and rolling in the mud for a while before it was time to get out. This was when the sighting became a whole lot more entertaining. At first it was hilarious to watch how they both scrambled to get out at the same time, with one baby elephant bumping the other out the way. The baby elephant that fell back down into the mud quickly got up, and surprisingly managed to get out fairly easy and with no help. The other baby elephant remained behind and stuck in the mud wallow, slipping and sliding in an attempt to get out. There was rumbling and trumpeting sounds coming from the elephants, indicating a sudden rise of stress and urgency among them. The caring mother elephant was right there to support and assist her struggling baby. The mother elephant gently helped her baby up the slippery wall using her trunk to support her baby from behind. The baby elephant finally managed to get out with the gentle help of its caring mother. The baby elephant didn’t hang around and quickly moved up to the watering hole for a fresh drink of water. We were so glad to see that the little elephant managed to get out and we were amazed by the level of care and intelligence showcased by these magnificent creatures.
