This is the moment a bungling driver chased after a loose truck that slid onto a road after he forgot to set its handbrake.

Dashcam footage taken in Kanchanaburi province on March 14 shows the vehicle inching away from an empty lot and slipping onto the main road.

The driver, Suwat Wareerat, sprinted after the truck after noticing it was already several metres away from its original parking spot following the parking fail.

Luckily, he caught up to it before it could pick up momentum and cause a fatal collision. A reflection on the truck's windshield shows Suwat slamming the driver's seat door open to pull the brakes and halt the loose vehicle.

He then manoeuvred the truck back onto the empty lot - this time, farther away from the road shoulder.

Suwat said: ‘Nothing is as scary and stressful as running after your truck sliding downhill. I retrieved it just in time before it was too late.’
