A shocked house owner used talcum powder to find a clever snake hiding inside his toilet.

Dao Vascharin said he was confused about how the trash bin inside his toilet would be scattered all over the place every morning when he woke up at home in Bangkok, Thailand.

The house owner then poured talcum powder on the toilet floor before sleeping one night, hoping that the culprit would leave its print.

However, upon waking up in the morning, he found a slithering mark showing scales across the floor on February 28 - but the snake was nowhere to be found.

Dao said: 'After days of trying to figure out what could be the mysterious creature that was messing with my place, I thought of pouring powder to find its tracks.'

The snake left a trail on the floor, toilet seat, and sink, so the house owner called the animal rescuers for help as the reptile could still be hiding inside.

When the team arrived, they searched through the room until they found its hiding spot under the sink. They hired a plumber to remove the sink and forced the snake outside by pouring warm water.

The creature poked its head out and the rescuer secured its neck with a noose. It was then released back into the wild.

Dao said: ‘It took days to finally locate the snake’s hiding spot. I’m glad we managed to catch the snake.’
