A bungling motorcycle rider was stuck after turning into a one-way road in Cambodia.

The rider was pulling a cart behind his two-wheeler when he entered the tight alley in the capital Phnom Penh on March 9. Cars had to back up and give him space so he could make an exit on the route.

Several riders followed to apparently avoid slow traffic and make a shortcut, which kept the motorists waiting longer.

One of the inconvenienced motorists Sereyvuth Ung said: 'I reversed my vehicle after noticing he was having trouble controlling his modified motorcycle.

'The rider was clearly struggling so I had to help. Tolerance on the streets should be reciprocated with gratitude and respect.'

After making way, the motorcycle passed through the road freely.

Cambodia has one of the highest rates of motorcycle-related accidents in Southeast Asia. Statistics show that 79 people in every 100,000 died on motorcycles in 2011, which is 30 per cent higher than the next worst-performing country Thailand with 59 deaths per 100,000 motorcycles.
