Man swept towards cliffs in Cornwall rescued by coastguard helicopter

A man who was swept out to sea near Fistral Bay, Cornwall, was rescued by a coastguard helicopter on March 18, according to an eyewitness.

The man had managed to cling to the base of a cliff after being swept away from Fistral Bay by winds.

Two Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeguards managed to reach the man by jet ski after being alerted by members of the public.

The man and two lifeguards were then airlifted to safety near the Pentire Mini golf course.

According to the filmer, all three individuals appeared unharmed.
