Ford F-150 drives itself into Shamokin Creek, Tharptown, Coal township, Pennsylvania

Coal Township Fire Department was dispatched for a vehicle into the creek in the Tharptown area of the township. Units arrived in the area and eventually found a vehicle into the water behind the 1100 block of center street.

It was quickly determined that no one was inside the vehicle and it rolled backwards while trying to jump start another vehicle. Fire units cleared the scene and local police stayed units the tow company arrived. A heavy wrecker from Aaruand’s in Sunbury arrived and lifted the truck out of the water than flipped it back over.
