ChemiS, a Czech street artist with Kazakh roots, has created a stunning new mural in Prague’s Nusle district.

The mural, filmed on Sunday 20 March, features a little girl taking shelter under a Ukrainian flag while protecting her favourite cartoon characters.

Among them, the Finnish Moomintroll, the French Obelix, the Czech Mole, the American Mickey Mouse and others.

The emotive mural is one of several popping up around the world, by various artists, to raise awareness of the Ukrainian cause.

“Ukraine is now fighting not only for its own but also for our freedom. As a father of two children, I can’t imagine the helplessness, pain, and fear that ordinary people experience”, said the street artist.
