A banner caught fire at Johan Cruijff ArenA before the game between Ajax and Feyenoord on Sunday 20 March.

Reports said the banner was ignited by flares lit by fans in the stands.

A huge plume of smoke could be seen rising from the burning banner, which was fortunately quickly put out without further disaster.

The Johan Cruijff ArenA is named after the world-famous Dutch footballer Johan Cruijff (his surname usually spelled 'Cruyff' abroad) and the idiosyncratic capitalisation of 'arena' is part of the stadium's official name.
