A portable satellite station was set up as rescue operations began after a passenger plane crashed in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Wuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 21 shows two rescuers setting up a portable satellite station and a drone flying above the mountains.

The portable station allows the rescue teams to get aerial images and videos of the crash site.

There were 123 passengers and nine crew members on board the Boeing 737-800 when the China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 from Kunming City to Guangzhou City crashed.

Search and rescue operations are underway.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
