Firefighters rescue motorists on truck roof stranded in flooded road in China
Firefighters rescue motorists on top of a pick-up truck that was trapped in a flooded road in northern China.
Video filmed in the city of Tongliao in Inner Mongolia on March 22 shows two men trapped on the top of a pick-up truck that was submerged by floodwater on a road.
A fireman with two life jackets held a zip-line to navigate across the floodwater to approach the two trapped men.
After the two men put the life jackets on, they used the zip-line to make it to safety.
According to reports, melting snow caused the road to be flooded.
The pick-up truck broke down after the two men drove it into a low-lying area. Since the water from the melted snow piled up, the two men got trapped there.
After around an hour, the two men were rescued successfully.
