Gecko tries to save his friend from being eaten by a snake
This is the moment a gecko tried to save his lizard friend from being eaten by a snake.
School teacher Wijithra Kaewwongsa saw the reptiles fighting each other outside a classroom in Rayong province, Thailand on March 20.
The larger gecko climbing down the wall lunged at the snake and bit its head in an attempt to rescue a smaller lizard. However, the snake broke free and continued to strangle the other tokay gecko’s body on the ground.
Wijithra said: 'I was terrified when I saw three scary reptiles right in front of me. I'm just happy I'm safe.'
The snake only relented when it was disturbed by Wijithra and it left the gecko on the ground to recover from the struggle.
