An alert police official saved a teenager who tried to kill himself by jumping in front of a moving train in western India's Maharashtra on March 23. The incident took place at the Vithalwadi railway station in the Thane district.

CCTV footage features the teen jumping on the tracks after standing a while on the platform. However, the vigilant cop jumps down and pushes the boy away from the tracks as a train approaches the station.

In a life-saving act, the Government Railway Police (GRP) constable, Hrishikesh Mane, grew suspicious of the boy and managed to save the 18-year-old before bringing him back on the platform.
