Officers from India's forest department use a trumpet on March 22 to disperse wild elephants from a tea plantation in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.

The elephants cross this plantation in the Connor Nilgril district yearly and generally stick to specific paths known as elephant corridors.

If they stray into the plantation, however, officers are on hand with trumpets and fireworks to get them back on track.

A trumpet is used to chase the herd of elephants that entered a tea estate in South India.

Elephants use tea estates to reach the either sides of forests. They keep these tea plantations in their memory and use this path every year. This path is called as an elephant corridor.

Farmers are used to this as the herd crosses every year only on this path. They inform the forest officials and they arrive the spot and ensure neither the humans nor the jumbos are hurt.

They also used trumpet and crackers to chase these big animals away into the forest.
