Two WW2 shipwrecks rot at ancient crossing once used by escaping King James II in Kent, UK

Two old shipwrecks can be found off-the-beaten track at an ancient crossing point called Elmley Ferry in Kent, UK.

The shipwrecks are thought to be WWII ex-Navy wooden-hulled Minesweepers.

The wrecks are located at Elmley Ferry - a disused crossing point across the Swale water way - once worked by a man with a wooden boat taking travelers from Murston, Sittingbourne on the mainland side across to Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey.

The causeways which once lead to the old ferry boat on either side are now marked by wooden 'H' structures.

King James II was arrested by fishermen at this point in 1688 when he was trying to flee Protestant England.

Footage captured March 24.
