Bird rescued after getting stuck in hollow metal pillar for hours
A bird was rescued after getting trapped in a metal pillar for several hours.
Nook Sarunya heard the creature's wings fluttering while she was walking in the backyard of her home in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on March 17.
She followed the sound and found that the bird was stuck inside a hollow metal column of the house. She asked her neighbours to help her cut an opening on the metal before pulling the frightened bird out using rope and wire.
The bird was dragged up safely and freed to the wild.
Nook said: 'I was willing to do anything to save the bird. I'm glad I managed to find it before it was too late.'
