A woman was hospitalized after reportedly being stabbed inside a biryani restaurant in East Ham on Friday (March 25).

Police were called to Hyderabad Wala on Barking Road in East Ham at approximately 2:22 pm.

A woman was found with stab injuries and rushed to hospital, police say. Her condition is unknown.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2:19 pm today (25 March) to reports of a stabbing on Barking Road, E6.

"We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response office. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"We treated a woman at the scene and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
