A food stand customer used chopsticks to catch a baby python hiding in a bush while he was eating noodles.

Footage shows the volunteer first aider on a lunch break poking at the foliage next to a noodle stand in Loei province, Thailand on February 20.

He called a colleague and they searched the bush together while still holding their chopsticks.

A shy little reptile with black spots then revealed itself slithering towards the lower part of the plant as the rescuers poke on the bush.

Onlooker Chawkorn Sriwiboon said: 'The snake looked cute. It didn't even move after being touched.'

The snake was released in a nearby canal where there were plants.
