A rare Asian golden cat was captured on camera eating for the first time in southern China.
Video filmed in Pingwu County in Sichuan Province on March 6 shows an Asian golden cat eating a tufted deer that it had hunted and killed.
It was the first that the high-definition footage of an Asian golden cat eating was captured in the country.
The Asian golden cats are the first class national protected animals and they have been listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List since 2008.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
