A naughty pet dog was found stuck inside a jar when he tried to bully chickens in a backyard.

The three-year-old pooch was terrorising a flock of chickens when he fell down the 4ft-deep hole, which was a jar's mouth, in Kalasin province, Thailand on March 24.

Villagers heard the dog crying and noticed the birds 'looking triumphant' while perched near the jar that was partly submerged on the ground.

One of the kind villagers climbed down the hole and carried the dog out. It was not hurt but its backside was muddy from the jar.

A local said: 'This dog lives in our village. He was very naughty and would bully the chickens. I think this time the chickens fought back and led him to fall into the hole.

'We were just relieved he was not hurt or that would have been very sad.'

The dog was cleaned up and given food and water by the locals.
