Non-stop machine gunfire as intense fighting breaks out in Enerhodar, Ukraine
Intense fighting has broken out today (April 2) in the city of Enerhodar, Ukraine's north-western part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Footage filmed at approximately 12.10 am Ukrainian time shows the horror of the situation in the city centre where machine guns are being fired and stun grenades are used against civilians.
Enerhodar, which has been under Russian control since March 4, is home to Europe's largest nuclear power plant. According to the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company, Energoatom, residents who gathered for a peaceful rally in the morning were later surrounded by Russian forces.
Footage supplied with permission by the Ukrainian pool.
