An Indian family organises a special ceremony for their pregnant dog in India's State of Tamil Nadu.
The bangle ritual is usually reserved for women and is held during the third trimester of the pregnancy. During the ceremony, women are adorned with these unique bracelets as it is believed that their sound induces the child's senses and brain activity.
This family has decided to do the same for their beloved dog. Five different types of rice have been cooked for the occasion.
Relatives adorn the dog with bangles on its front paws and throw flowers as a gesture of their blessing to have safe maternity.
