Video has emerged showing a column of destroyed Russian tanks in Bucha, on the outskirts of Kyiv, Ukraine.

Video filmed on Sunday (April 3) shows the people of Bucha walking among the remnants of Russian Tanks and armored personnel carriers.

Bucha, a city in Ukraine's Kyiv Oblast, has been at the centre of heavy fighting and atrocities committed as the Russian troops withdrew from the area. Video emerged on Sunday showing a mass grave, provoking widespread condemnation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

One local resident described what she said saw on one of the most intense days of fighting, early on in the conflict. "I saw how it all began. it was at 9am. I was sleeping, and when the column of Russians came, they fired tracer rounds. Everything was lit up when they fired, there was a terrible sound and the tanks were moving, there was a lot of military vehicles and fuel trucks.

"It was very scary, the neighbor’s garage was on fire [points], the house and the fence burned down nearby, my house also suffered. I’m 72 years old and I’ll never build a new house now.

"Their military came to me, with machine guns, I have a disabled son and a disabled neighbour who lived with me, they said that you were very lucky that we and not others came to you, because the others immediately shoot people in the legs. They said, 'You are not rich' and left."

Video shows humanitarian assistance arriving for the citizens of Bucha, near Kyiv, and a column of destroyed Russian tanks and armoured vehicles.
