This is the disturbing pool footage emerging from Bucha, Ukraine on April 3 showing what is a young girl who Ukrainian officials say was shot dead by a Russian soldier on the first day of the occupation of the city.

The girl's age is unknown.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed this and other footage was "fake," saying "not a single local resident suffered from any violent actions" during Russia's occupation of Bucha. "In the settlements of the Kiev region, Russian military personnel delivered and issued 452 tons of humanitarian aid to civilians," it said in a statement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said recently to US media that "indeed, this is genocide."

The town of Bucha has endured five weeks of endless fighting. Now human rights groups say the civilian deaths on the departed Russian forces and constitute war crimes.
