A great video has emerged of cows expressing their delight at being let into a field of freshly cut grass in Cumbria, UK.

“The first grass of the year in Grasmere has just been harvested by the tractors,” the filmer wrote online after capturing the footage on Sunday.

“Once the main part of field is cut the cows are let loose to finish the job and jump for joy at their new found freedom and food.

“Each day the cows return to the farm to be milked and once all the grass is gone, they move onto other fields in the village. This daily spectacle of the cows going up and down the road from field to farm is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

“This might become a rare event as the farmers milk price has dropped so low it's uneconomic to carry on.”
